The Korvet 038 Stereo turntable from 1983 was manufactured at the former Ladoga Plant from Kirovsk, Russia. This model has an ultra-quiet Direct Drive motor while the fitted tonearm uses viscous dynamic damping to eliminate main resonance in both horizontal and vertical planes. It is fitted with the GZM-018 Korvet cartridge featuring Beryllium cantilever and elliptical diamond stylus. A secondary cleaning brush are is also fitted to this optoelectronically controlled automatic turntable. The Korvet 038 Stereo is actually an updated version of the previous Korvet 003 Stereo from 1979. The large "ball" contains glycerine and a slightly smaller ball inside. Vibrations thus are reduced by the interaction between this internal ball, glycerine and the outher sphere. Dimensions 485x225x370mm | Weight: 12 kg.
