JVC R-5000 (1980) - Personal Hi-Fi System

 

The R-5000 is great to listen to, look at and, thanks to touch-responsive controls, is a cinch to operate. Naturally, it has the sort of features you've come to expect from JVC: a tape deck with metal-capable SA (Sen-Alloy) heads and full logic control; a digital FM/AM tuner that lets you preset up to 14 stations; and an amplifier capable of delivering comfortable power to each channel. Power rating is 30 watts per channel, min. RMS, both channels driven into 8 ohms from 40 to 20,000Hz. This model was sold in Japan under the Victor brand name while a rebadged version was sold in Germany as Nordmende HiFi 8900 SC.
