The V5000 is also equipped with DRI and ADI circuits for further refinement of the ultra-high density Hi-Fi audio recording method. There is also a power cord with polarity indicator. Mitsubishi's unique Digital Fine technology automates tracking adjustment during play still and slow motion. It also significantly reduces frame skipping when switching back to normal playback. Multi-digital (49-64-81/100 screens). Enjoy digital video play in 8 levels (9, 16, 25, 36). ● Multi-channel ● Multi-strobe ● Multi-still ● Multi-time search: Plays back every 5 minutes (or 10 minutes) of footage from the recorded tape for a few seconds, and displays the last scene of each as a still image along with the time. ● Multi-address search: Plays back the first few seconds of the VASS signal for a few seconds, and displays the last scene of each as a still image along with the address number. If you record an insert at the beginning of the tape, it will serve as a table of contents, which is very convenient. Jog/Shuttle for easy and precise editing. An editing window that displays the footage from the editing and recording tape (when paused) and the footage from the broadcast program or dubbing material on a parent-child screen. Multi-editing is convenient for setting the start point of multi-insert recording. By projecting the image on the screen with the multi-strobe, you can easily search for the desired cut scene with the jog dial while viewing the previous and next scenes. Connect to the optional editing controller (EC-1000 type) terminal to enjoy full-scale editing.  Regardless of the position you start playback from, the cumulative time (hours, minutes, seconds) from the beginning of the tape is displayed on the screen, allowing you to accurately check the remaining tape time. You can also enjoy time counter search (time counter search) (3x mode: approx. 140x speed, standard mode: approx. 46x speed). Also the FE (Flying Erase) head is a unique editing mechanism based on the concept of high image quality. It accurately traces and erases each frame of previously recorded footage, then records new footage. There is virtually no color noise or color bleeding at the joins between frames, as with conventional methods, allowing for smooth, beautiful, and highly accurate splicing.

SHARP VC-S700 (1990) | 9-Head S-VHS Hi-Fi

SHARP VC-S700 (1990) | 9-Head S-VHS Hi-Fi

Equipped with a 19-micron "Amorphous 9 Head" rotating head the S700 records high-quality images of long programs such as satellite broadcasts. Amorphous 9-head is an innovative imaging system developed by Sharp. It inherits the amorphous 9 head system from the S-800 for. By adopting a unique head, the image quality in 3x mode has been improved. Standard mode image quality is beautiful, and 3x mode image quality is almost as good as the previous standard mode. This allows for long recording times with high image quality. Amorphous is a material that maximizes the potential of Super VHS (S-VHS) tape. Amorphous is vapor-deposited onto ferrite, which has excellent playback characteristics. This material is used in triple-mode, which reduces head output. It demonstrates its capabilities by increasing recording and playback output and reducing signal noise (Y-S/N and C-S/N), resulting in clearer images. The ideal head width for recording and playback in 3x mode is 19 microns. Sharp's technology has made this possible. Two of these 19 micron amorphous heads have been added to create an amorphous 9-head video. Crosstalk has been reduced, and edge noise and color flicker have been reduced, resulting in high image quality in 3x mode that approaches that of the conventional standard mode. By switching the heads, even during slow/still mode, clean images with little noise are achieved. Standard mode, 3x mode, special playback, etc. The ideal head mechanism switches to the head best suited to each application. Sharp's unique amorphous 19-micron head produces high image quality. (Featured in the VC-S800 and VC-S700) An auto head cleaner maintains high image quality. Simply insert a tape and the head and drum are automatically cleaned, maintaining beautiful image and sound quality. 3-line logical comb filter: Accurate Y/C separation reduces color bleeding, dot interference, and color fading. Twin convex drum: Convex (protrusions) are installed at the beginning and end of the tape where it contacts the drum to suppress tape vibration and stabilize the tape's running, thereby reducing image shaking. External dimensions and weight: 430 x 106 x 407 mm 7.4kg

Refined high-quality picture and sound. A magnificent prestige video deck that pursued the truest image and pushed the limits of Super VHS. What kind of Super VHS video deck should we have when pursuing the perfect image? Development of the HR-20000 began with a reexamination of all fundamentals. Numerous new innovations were incorporated into the head, amplifier, and digital signal processing circuitry, and the mechanism was designed to be simple and highly accurate, with improvements made to functionality and operability. The result was the HR-20000, which has solidified its reputation as the prestige model of Super VHS. SC pro head - JVC's high-performance head, which combines high output and low noise, has been further improved. The head width has been balanced to an optimal value. By eliminating crosstalk from adjacent tracks, recording characteristics have been improved, resulting in clearer image quality. Equipped with 629 Digital TBC - the key to stable images and low noise. This function corrects the time axis jitter of the scanning lines caused by tape movement and vibration. It significantly reduces the curvature and roughness of vertical lines, and also effectively corrects jitter-like hue fluctuations and high-frequency jitter, reproducing natural and stable images. Super Solid DD Mecha - Professional-grade high-precision mechanism, Super Solid DD mechanism. The two-reel direct drive and super impedance roller ensure stable tape running with virtually no tension fluctuation, reducing jitter. Furthermore, the full-loading, high-response design ensures high-speed, quiet FF and REW. 3D digital Y/C - A 3D digital Y/C separation circuit that delivers high-quality images on wide screens. The DP-1000 is equipped with a motion-adaptive Y/C separation circuit that eliminates pixel interference and cross color without affecting resolution in any direction, including diagonal directions. This enables the reproduction of fine details and the expression of a clear three-dimensional effect, delivering the high-quality images required in the widescreen era. 3D Hadamard NR - Beautiful details even when played back on a large screen. Digital Hadamard processing using frame memory significantly reduces minute noise added to the luminance signal during recording and playback. AI homme calibration - AI auto-calibration produces high-quality images that are not affected by the tape. The optimum recording level, which varies slightly depending on the tape being recorded, is detected and automatically set. This maximizes the capabilities of each individual tape, achieving high-quality recording and playback. Furthermore, the introduction of a new algorithm has sped up the calibration process to less than 10 seconds. It is also possible to correct changes in characteristics due to head aging. FET amplifier - A hyper-parallel FET preamplifier is used to achieve low noise from the ground up. The amplifier section, which has often been overlooked in the past, has been given a thorough upgrade in quality, with FET preamplifiers that amplify the same signal in parallel for each playback head. The 18 FET preamplifiers, with standard and triple amplification, significantly reduce noise below a few MHz. A thorough vibration-damping structure design eliminates vibrations that affect the image. Vibration control is enhanced by using high-density materials on the bottom and both sides of the chassis, vibration-damping steel plate for the bottom plate, and insulators with a triple suspension structure. NF Super Rewind - NF Super Rewind rewinds a 120-minute tape in just under a minute. If there is a large amount of tape to be rewound, high-speed rewinding is performed in the unloaded state. Airtight door - Airtight cassette door for quieter operation. The cassette slot is fitted with a double-action airtight door that provides a tight seal, blocking out internal noise from the tape and other components, resulting in quieter operation.

SANYO VZ-CS50 (1989) - S-VHS Hi-Fi Stereo

S-VHS Hi-Fi Stereo

Brand: SANYO
Model: VZ-CS50
Year: 1989

In order to unleash the full potential of S-VHS, it is necessary to develop technology specifically for S-VHS, rather than taking-it as an extension of conventional VHS technology. Based on this idea, Sanyo focused on the chassis structure, which affects image and sound quality. A mid-mount system has been adopted. By locating the core mechanism in the center of the body, the influence of external vibrations is minimized, and at the same time, vibrations generated by the mechanism itself are distributed almost equally to the insulators at each corner and absorbed. By fundamentally improving the system design, was possible to achieve a high level of stability in tape running, which determines image and sound quality at the most fundamental level. Also Brass impedance rollers are installed on both the inlet and outlet sides of the cylinder, which are particularly effective in reducing screen distortion and color shift caused by unstable tape running. The large diameter impedance roller of 18mm on the inlet side reduces the low-frequency jitter component that mainly appears as large vertical line undulations, while the small diameter impedance roller of 10mm on the exit side reduces the small flickering undulations around 1kHz. The adopted S-VHS system offers high image quality aided by Digital noise reduction, digital tracking. For an audio dynamic range of 90 dB the Stereo Hi-Fi system was adopted. There is even more, the VZ-CS50 also features built-in satellite receiver, jog-shuttle control, "picture creative" color and sharpness control, title generator, flying erase head, insert dubbing, digital multiscreen. Stereo audio is also transmitted from the VZ-CS50 to the remote control where you can connect your headphones.

MITSUBISHI HV-F35 (1988)

MITSUBISHI HV-F35 S-VHS HiFi Stereo VCR

Brand: MITSUBISHI
Model: HV-F35
Year: 1988

Mitsubishi's unique digital tracking brings out the highest image and sound quality of tape. Automates highly accurate tracking adjustment beyond the visible range, which is difficult to do manually. The optimal tracking point is always automatically tracked according to the tape playback status. At the same time, it maximizes the power of the high picture and high sound quality circuitry to bring out the best picture and sound quality of the tape. There is no need for troublesome tracking adjustments when viewing commercially available tapes or other recording tapes.

Mitsubishi's Noise Erase Speed Search eliminates noise bar. The high-precision NE head that moves up and down at high speed allows the head to accurately trace tracks even when searching. This eliminates the annoying noise bars from the screen, creating a beautiful skip-through experience that is no different from normal playback. (3x mode: approx. 10x speed) (The noise bar will disappear in a few seconds.)

Horizontal resolution 400 line S-VHS. Standard VHS format is also beautifully reproduced adopting HQ circuits. This way the resolution has been increased (10% higher than our previous model) and the quality of the video has been fundamentally improved. Even standard VHS tapes are clearly reproduced.

"Digital Fine Still" delivers beautiful still images that stop exactly at the scene you want to see, without blurring the image. Furthermore, the beautiful "Variable Speed (1/%~6) Digital Fine Slow" allows you to thoroughly enjoy decisive scenes such as sports. Even when transitioning from still or slow playback to normal playback, the start-up is natural without any missing video.

Hi-Fi - DRI circuit and ADI circuit further refine the polished real sound. Adopts ultra-high-density Hi-Fi audio recording method (frequency response 20Hz~20kHz, wow/flutter less than 0.005%, dynamic range more than 90dB clear). Furthermore, the "DRI circuit" reduces noise to 1/2 at low inputs, and reproduces pianissimo sounds such as strings and woodwind instruments with clear and clear tones, which is difficult to achieve with Hi-Fi video. In addition, the ADI circuit prevents distortion and click noises caused by sudden loud sounds. (Dedicated dual power supply and Independent audio board)

Since an absolute counter signal can be recorded on the tape, the total time (hours, minutes, seconds) from the beginning of the tape is displayed on the screen no matter where you play from. You can accurately check the remaining amount of tape. Furthermore, you can use the 10 keys on the remote control to search for a specified time (hours, minutes, seconds) using the Time Counter Search (4x mode), which is very convenient if you check the absolute counter for the scene you want to see. Digital screen allows you to check the video operating status on the screen in a timely manner.

Under the "M meets M" slogan a series of Mitsubishi video products advertisments featured Madonna.
With minor differences the same model was also sold (at least in Europe) as AKAI VS-S99.
