As the diversification of high sound quality sources continued to progress, with the advent of stereo television broadcasts, audio multiplex broadcasts and video discs there has been a strong desire to achieve high-fidelity sound as well for home video tape users. This is what the Beta Hi-Fi is for. This system allows to achieve excellent sound comparable to digital audio, with flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz and an impressive dynamic range of 80dB. All these are of course only suplimentary to the well known and high quality Beta video system including all picture enhancing methods and programmed recording.
