The KD-D55 was part of the so called DELTA Series introduced by JVC in 1982. The Japanese market version, Victor KD-D55 was introduced in 1981. This is an entry level 3-head model with a one motor belt-drive transport from Sankyo, ANRS and Dolby B-C noise reduction that was also equipped with a Multifunction Digital Counter. This display can operate in simple counter mode, remaining time counter but it will also display the selected track number for the music search system.
