DENON CONCEPT D-7 (1989)

DENON CONCEPT D-7 midi hifi system

The D-7 was the biggest model of the Concept Series from Denon and it was introduced in 1989. The system consists of a dual auto-reverse cassette deck with manual recording level adjustment and fluorescent display, stereo amplifier with optical Digital input, stereo tuner, 7-band graphic equalizer with spectrum analyzer and 2x6 memory system, compact disc player and another mysterious box. This large component looks like a power amplifier but is actually a - and I'm quoting: "Active Drived Woofer System - Its sound is so natural and dynamic". So this is a twin woofer box the size of a larger midi component. The components cannot be used individually as each component uses a dedicated and unique power/signal cable to be connected to the amplifier. The matching loudspeaker system is a 3-way - and I'm using another quotation of the text written on the front: "Active air suspension and Bassreflex speaker system". As expected, the whole system can be remote controlled with a dedicated infrared hand-held remote controller.
