NIKKO M-205W (1981) | DC & Class A 46W + 46W

 

The Nikko M-205W is a pure complementary parallel push-pull type Class A DC power amplifier. A high-speed constant voltage power supply is used, with an emphasis on sound quality and performance. Drift is prevented by using a single-chip dual FET. To prevent changes in high-frequency sound quality, the speaker terminals are made from machined pure copper with a gold-plated finish. The M-205W uses a muting delay circuit that eliminates pop noise. In order to prevent speaker damage, the protection network which adopted the overcurrent and center voltage detector circuitry is built in. The input circuit is equipped with two systems: direct and normal. Equipped with LED peak level indicator (with ON/OFF switch), input level control, headphone jack, and speaker ON/OFF mechanism.
