Perfect playback: HIGH COM from Telefunken. The HC 3000 HIGH COM cassette deck from Telefunken is another milestone in high fidelity. It features HIGH COM, the first compander system in the consumer sector, which reduces all interference signals added along the transmission path below the audibility threshold during playback while leaving the desired signal unchanged. HIGH COM differs significantly in effectiveness and quality from all other interference and noise suppression systems and, for the first time, offers the highest sound purity without audible background noise when playing back cassette recordings.
