In 1982 DUAL presented with great detail (in a dedicated brochure) the CD 110 Compact Disc player. There are several aspects of this model worth to mention. The CD 110 was based on the Philips CD 100 (a 14-bit 4-fold oversampling model) but the Dual brochure is presenting-it as a 16-bit model. While the CD player features the official Compact Disc Digital Audio logo the brochure shows a pre-standardization Philips Compact Disc (without the Digital Audio text) from 1977. In conclusion this model was never mass produced, Dual opting for rebadged Hitachi CD players as their first models.
