PIONEER 850 System (1974) | Multi-Amp System

 

The Pioneer 850 Series was introduced in 1974 and it consisted of the SC-850 stereo preamplifier, SF-850 electronic crossover network and the 40W/ch SM-850 stereo power amplifier. In its basic combination one could use the preamplifier and power amplifier in a traditional stereo system. On the other hand, using the electronic crossover network allows the user to build a high performance three way audio system. Inserting the electronic crossover after the preamplifier one can use three power amplifier, each dedicated for the bass, medium and high frequency driver of a loudspeaker. Thus offering a greater flexibility in fine tuning your sound system. Typical size of a unit: 350x138x329mm.
