Based on the success of the SX-3 (from 1972) Victor introduced the "double number series" SX-55 in 1977. This is a closed type 3-way speaker system featuring a 30cm KDU-cone woofer manufactured by Kurt Muller in Germany, a 6.5cm soft dome midrange and a 3 cm soft dome tweeter. There are two types: Scandinavian oak finish (SX-55N) and rosewood finish (SX-55R).
