Technics SL-FM1 (1978) - The "Wireless" Turntable

The "Wireless" Turntable

A record player with a built-in FM transmitter. The record player signal picked up by the cartridge is transmitted from the antenna on FM stereo radio waves, and you can enjoy playing records by setting the dial on your stereo tuner or radio cassette to 78MHz (±1.5MHz). Quartz is used for the FM radio wave transmitter, achieving low distortion and excellent stereo separation. Powered by 6 single dry cell batteries (DC9V), it is also portable. In addition, by adopting the FG servo DC motor with low power consumption, it can be used for up to aproximately 100 hours (when used for 4 hours a day). Furthermore, with the dedicated AC adapter, it can also be used with AC power. The SL-FM1 also has a line output terminal.
