The "Space Fidelity" line of products was a completely new design line from Grundig. The PA1...labelled as "MAX" was the smallest component of this series. The main feature of these devices was the integrated subwoofer system with separate tweeter/midrange unit, which are mounted in its own housing apart on these "wings". The special sound radiation of the high/mid-range unit results in a sound image similar to surround sound, as known from surround sound systems. This means that the system can be placed relatively freely in rooms without having to connect additional external speakers. The Grundig MAX features FM-Stereo radio with 15 memory presets, 1 bit DAC CD player and a cassette recorder section. The power rating published by the manufacturer is a generic 100 Watt Music Power/ 60 Watt Sinus Power. External dimensions are: 55x44x32 cm. While the PA1 MAX is a stationary unit that can be mains powered only it also has a built-in carry handle for easy transportation.
