The Sony PS-Q9 was an extremely compact turntable sold separately as a matching component to the Heli Compo Compact Hi-Fi System. While it's size 21.5(W)x23.5(D)x6(H) cm is a perfect fit for the Heli Compo Compact Hi-Fi System the PS-Q9 can be used independently or with any other Hi-Fi system. It features a FM transmitter that allows you to listen to your records via any FM receiver but it also features a built-in headphone amplifier so you can listen directly the turntable. For the FM transmission there is an antenna at the back of the unit with an LED at the tip that lights-up during transmission. The PS-Q9 is a Direct Drive model with synchro record function for recording to tape. The PS-Q9 was available in black and silver. The PS-Q7 was an identical looking model that was available in three more colors: tropical red, McKinley blue and white.

KENWOOD High Density 7000 (1988)

 

The HD2, High Density Component midi system was introduced by Kenwood in 1988. This sytem consisted of the A-7000 105W/ch (6ohm, 1kHz) stereo digital amplifier (Supported sampling frequencies 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz - automatic switching), T-7000 4-band synthesizer tuner, DP-7000 CD player, X-7000 auto-reverse cassette recorder, LS-7000 3-way speaker system with 26cm woofer, KP-07M Quartz PLL Direct Drive turntable, GE-5000 graphic equalizer and the KH-7000 plasmadiamond coating diaphragm dynamic stereophones. All components had champagne silver aluminum front panel with wood side panel and width of 376mm.

TELEFUNKEN STM 1 + STP 1 (1980) | Slimline Hi-Fi

The STM 1 power amplifier from Telefunken was introduced in 1980. This state-of-the-art power amplifier was partnering the STP 1 pre-amplifier. These were available in both silver and brown front finish. The STM 1 | STP 1 combo had a 483mm wide rack mounting front while the CM 20 | CP 20 models had a 460mm wide front without handles. The power amplifier had a slim-line construction of only 80mm high and it featured a toroidal transformer, LED power meters and provision for 2-pairs of loudspeakers. A full slim-line system consisted of the STP 1 pre-amplifier, STM 1 power amplifier, STS 1 turntable, STT 1 tuner and the STC 1 cassette recorder.
