The HD2, High Density Component midi system was introduced by Kenwood in 1988. This sytem consisted of the A-7000 105W/ch (6ohm, 1kHz) stereo digital amplifier (Supported sampling frequencies 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz - automatic switching), T-7000 4-band synthesizer tuner, DP-7000 CD player, X-7000 auto-reverse cassette recorder, LS-7000 3-way speaker system with 26cm woofer, KP-07M Quartz PLL Direct Drive turntable, GE-5000 graphic equalizer and the KH-7000 plasmadiamond coating diaphragm dynamic stereophones. All components had champagne silver aluminum front panel with wood side panel and width of 376mm.
