The DD-92 from marantz is a premium DCC deck capable of playing analog cassette tapes and recording/playing DCC tapes. The D/A converter is equipped with a bitstream DAC7. In addition, the A/D converter is an 18-bit, 64x oversampling A/D converter, which reduces distortion during recording and widens the dynamic range. The DD-92 is equipped with a digital monitor function, and can be used as an A→D, D→A, or A→D→A converter by driving the A/D converter and D/A converter independently. The head is a thin-film head that enables analog cassette tape playback and DCC tape recording/playback, allowing you to make use of not only DCC software but also compact cassettes you have collected up to now. For compatibility there is built-in Dolby B and C noise reduction for compact cassette playback. The construction uses a copper-plated chassis that absorbs high-frequency components. In addition, parts such as noise killer elements, die-cast side panels, and OFC cables are used to achieve high sound quality. It is equipped with various functions such as append REC (automatic splice recording), synchronous REC, song selection playback/repeat playback/replay, automatic playback by marker recognition, character information display, etc. A wireless remote control is included.
