The HR-W1 was the World First High-Definition video recorder introduced by Victor (JVC) in Japan 1993. The key feature is the the W-VHS system, a High-Definition system called back then  Hi-Vision (1035i). This new system was of course backwards compatible with VHS and S-VHS systems. Based on the VHS system invented by JVC this further development not only that featured High-Definition video on a tape based format but it also featured Hi-Fi Digital Audio recording while the W1 was also equipped with a satellite receiver for high-quality audio-video over satellite transmission. Build Your Loudspeaker - The Pioneer Kit (1975)

This top quality kit consisted of the AS-302 speaker/cross-over/terminal/acessoires set that had to be mounted into the AE-300 flat-pack enclosure you had to build (front grill included) using the EB-302 baffle (exclusive to AS-302). This will result in a 3-way closed loudspeaker system with 30cm carbon fibre woofer, 4,8cm dome midrange and 2,5cm titanium dome tweeter. The enclosure has an internal volume of 50 liters and the panels are 21mm thick. The particle board panels have a wood grain finish.

PIONEER SOIGNÉ (1989)

 

The SOIGNÉ (elegantly done) was a contemporary component system introduced by Pioneer in 1989. It was described as a "Simple & Quality Urban Component". The CCS-7100 system presented here features a 75W/ch (EIAJ 6ohm) amplifier with a THD of 0,005% partnered by a CD-Tuner combo unit, a twin cassette deck (both deck auto reverse) with Dolby B-C and HX-Pro and a frequency response of 20-19,000Hz with Metal tape. Both cassettes are 2+1 motor with a wow&flutter figure of 0,055% (WRMS). The loudspeaker of this system is a phase reversed, magnetically shielded bookshelf model with two 14cm woofer (one at the front, one at the back) and a 2,5cm Titanium dome tweeter. Power rating is 90W with a frequency response of 40Hz-40kHz and an impedance of 6ohm. Typical dimension of a unit is 360x90x355mm (WxHxD). A low profile equipment rack and speaker stands were available separately.
