The Arena BS84TC from Toshiba is a twin video cassette changer from 1991. It was the World's first BS Hi-Fi S-VHS with a tape changer. It allows for long recording and playback times using two cassettes, and even enables recording and playback while the timer is on standby. It is also capable of receiving sattelite broadcasts. To enjoy BS broadcasting, a separate BS antenna is required. Dubbing and simultaneous recording/playback are not possible on this device. When changing cassettes, recording and playback will be interrupted for about 15 seconds. Twin Cassette Changer: In 3x speed mode, it employs a twin cassette changer that allows two cassettes, A and B, to be loaded simultaneously into a single tray. Since two cassettes can be used consecutively, it is possible to record and play back for up to 18 hours. Long satellite broadcast programs can be recorded in their entirety with ease, and if you switch to the second cassette, B, you can even perform "just recording" to end the recording precisely at the end of the tape. Furthermore, by using cassettes A and B separately, it enables new ways of using video that were not possible with conventional video equipment, such as recording and playback on cassette A while cassette B is in timer standby mode. Built-in high sensitivity BS tuner: Even if it rains, the system automatically detects the signal level, allowing you to enjoy beautiful, low-noise video. For example, when you set a timer, you can record at the optimal image quality regardless of the weather during recording. Not only can you record terrestrial broadcasts while watching BS/satellite broadcasts on your BS monitor, but you can also enjoy your favorite satellite channels with a single touch while the timer is in standby mode, maintaining the timer state.
