PIONEER PL-L1000 (1979)

PIONEER PL-L1000 (1979)

The PL-L 1000 Linear Arm Direct-Drive Turntable was introduced by Pioneer in 1979. This is a full automatic electronically controlled turntable with all controls, including arm lift, operable from front panel with dust cover closed. Platter is driven directly by Pioneer's finest quartz-controlled Hall motor for unbeatable ±0.035% (DIN) wow and flutter. Unique Pioneer-designed tangential arm powered by a direct-drive linear motor allows stylus to be literally pulled along the record groove and across the record in a straight line. Result is lower tracking error, lower cross talk and distortion due to virtu-ally insignificant lateral pressure, less resonance due to shortness and rigidity of arm, and truly exceptional S/N ratio of 78 dB (DIN-B). Tone arm height is adjustable by ± 3 mm. Insulated cabinet has a 3 mm thick aluminum die-cast panel for mounting of tone arm and platter motor. This turntable was also available as Phase Linear Model 8000 Series Two during the time Pioneer owned Phase Linear. Specifications: Size (W/H/D) 494x154x456mm | Weight 12kg | Original sale price in Germany 1498 DM.

Sansui C-2101/B-2101 (1985) | X Balanced-Amp

Sansui C-2101/B-2101 (1985) | X Balanced-Amp

In 1985 Sansui introduced a new generation of control-power amplifier combination of the highest sonic sophistication, seamlessly integrated in both technology and appearance.
The C-2101 Stereo Control Center: A matching control center for the B-2101 power amplifier, the C-2101 is state-of-the-art in every way. Extremely comprehensive switching facilities for up to 9 components mean super versatility. A special extra is the 2-band parametric equalizer: it lets you select any center frequency between 70Hz and 300Hz for the lows, and between 2kHz and 10kHz for the highs. With it, you can easily over-come narrow-range sonic aberrations (room resonance, etc.). 2-band parametric equalizer. Low-noise, high-gain DC phono equalizer for matching with MC, high-output MC and MM cartridges. Inputs for PHONO-1/2, CD, TUNER, LINE-1/2, TAPE/PCM-1/2/3. Bi-directional tape dubbing between three decks. LED indicators for equalizer, subsonic, loudness and muting switches. Headphone output. 2 preamp outputs.
The B-2101 Stereo Power Amplifier: Its prodigious 200 watts RMS power output is just one of its many exceptional features. Another is its X-Balanced Amp System, our new circuitry design that eliminates ground-related problems such as IHM distortion, for cleaner, crisper sound. The B-2101 is also designed to handle difficult low impedances, thanks to the use of a rugged power supply. 16 oversized power transistors and a double parallel push-pull output configuration. A perfect match for the C-2101 Control Center. X-Balanced Amp Type I. Wide-range 24-segment fluorescent peak power level indicators with peak hold on/off. Twin-mono construction for left and right channels. Separate left and right "attenuator" input level controls. Outputs for 2 sets of speaker systems. Size of units: 430x119x326mm (C-2101) 430x160x412mm (B-2101) | Original sale price in Germany 1400 DM (C-2101) 2350 DM (B-2101)
